Nokia just launched a pretty decent midrange phone for Verizon, dubbed the Nokia 6205. The 6205 is one of the very few CDMA phones Nokia has launched here in the U.S. It comes with a decent array of features, like a 1.3-megapixel camera, EV-DO, voice dialing, a microSD card slot, video messaging, 58MB internal memory, external music player keys, and more. The 6205 will be available in two flavors; a simple blue version, plus a special black "The Dark Knight" edition to coincide with the movie of the same name. The "Dark Knight" edition will be available with movie-based ringtones plus a pre-loaded trailer, and will be available first on June 15th. The regular blue one will launch in July. They both cost around $119 each, with a two-year service agreement. However, the "Dark Knight" edition will be exclusive to verizonwireless.com, while the regular blue version will be available in stores as well.

It says, "The 6205 is one of the very few CDMA phones Nokia has launched here in the U.S." What other CDMA Nokias are there? My interest is perked.

To cant_get_enough_tech: I remember once seeing a black and white nokia at verizon, five years ago. Of course, in the phone market, that's back in the Pleistocene period.

Now, does this have nokia software, or does it have the crappy verizon UI with DRM'd to death BREW and no Java? If so, what's the point, to have the same verizon phone with a nokia logo on it?
